Robert : Between Zero and One lies Infinity What is, and is not, time, and how it relates to god

What is, and is not, time, and how it relates to god

Posted on May 12th, 2008 by Robert : Between Zero and One lies Infinity Robert
Some ruminations, to be expanded on in the future.  Call it 'brainstreaming' for short.

Time doesn't exist outside of time.

The shortest possible instant of time is the exact same as eternity.  There is no difference.  Why?  Because there is no frame of reference.

Allow me to ask: how many 0th time instants are in an eternity?  (I will call the shortest possible instant of time the "0th instant" for the lack of a better term.)  You're immediate answer is probably infinite.  Yes and no.  The thought of infinity is that it is the largest possible number where the definition of infinity is just that - there is "no finish".  That said, how many 0th instants are in just one second?  The answer is again infinity.  Now, how much time must pass between leaving one 0th instant and enter the next 0th instant?  Naturally, it is the same amount of time it takes to go from the start of a 0th instant to get to the end of that 0th instant.  In all cases the answer is the same: eternity.

Sadly, in our present form we can know or experience neither.  Perhaps enlightenment is the ability to know one or both of these.  In fact, I believe that is exactly enlightenment.

::of god and time::

God is, was, and will be everything.  Everything is part of the same entity, just separated, coalescing, and mixing in a grand experiment.  What we perceive as time is just the filling-in of god reassembling itself.  I believe that time started with the big bang and will end with gaia - the culmination of everything.

If god truly knew everything and existed for an eternity, it is the same as existing for the 0th moment only.  There was no time before, and will be no time after, god once again becomes whole.  That is, god is completely reformed into the entity that started the big bang.  And god will remain in that form for both an eternity and a 0th instant.

God is NOT a male figure.  Nor is god a female figure.  God is a duality, a yin *and* a yang.  God is evil and is good, and everything in between.  What would possess a god or gaia to continue to exist in that form if they were comprised of everything and knew everything there was to know?  God would only be bored if time passed, and the more assembled god became the greater the change in time - be it faster or slower in passing.  Trouble is, we cannot see how fast or slow time changes because we are *IN* the time field or time stream.

I will iterate and reiterate later when I have more time to devote to a deeper discussion on these topics.  But for now, just consider it for what it is: wetware fertilizer.

it's probably best in these more enlightened, tolerant times to just leave god out of it.  Maybe refer  to it as 'creator' or 'cosmos' or 'divinity' but the g word is just too loaded with historical meaning; and cross-cultures it has vastly different meanings.

it is just a word asking for contention.

nice thoughts on time; it is one of the great mysteries to the human mind.

What insight!  I had never pondered on 0th instant.Time is a manifestation that change will occur.  I knowit is an agreed upon thing in the physical universe.I hadn't put the concept of infinity wrapped in a secondbut I can see how that could be.

Very nice perspective, Robert!!  It does get one wondering about all of our self-inflicted measurement devices!!  Can't wait to read your next blog!!
